“For These Things I Weep – Assembling the Fragments to Build a World

Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s remembrance day, is a day of true grief and mourning. Who in Israel has not been affected, either directly or indirectly, by war and terror? This is the designated day for national mourning. A far cry from Memorial Day in the US, Yom HaZikaron is a heavy day where Israelis take time to express their grief both on a personal and national level. It is common for people to visit cemeteries where loved ones and those lost to war or terror are buried.
