In Prayer of the Mothers (5:20), Israeli artist Yael Deckelbaum pairs with Jewish and Palestinian women of the Women Wage Peace movement, singing together their joint prayer for peace. The grassroots movement was created in the wake of Operation Protective Edge in the summer of 2014 where a high price was paid by both sides. The message of the song and the Women Wage Peace movement as a whole is that peace will arise not through violence and coercion but through recognizing the preciousness of life and the humanity that unites us all.
