The Passover Bombing in Netanya

An excerpt from the 2002 Discovery Channel documentary, “Behind the Hatred: Mortal Enemies,” this low quality video (03:32) recalls the 2002 terrorist attack at a Passover seder at the Park Hotel in Netanya, in which a Palestinian suicide bomber killed 30 Israelis and injured 140. One of the deadliest attacks against Israelis during the Second Intifada, this event led to the launching of the large-scale counter-terrorist operation, Operation Defensive Shield, in which Israeli forces entered the West Bank in an attempt to root out terrorism.
