This video (08:43) presents a computer game released in Israel during the First Intifada, in which the player is an Israeli soldier whose mission is to stop the rioting and stay alive, while avoiding unnecessary violence and casualties. The video presents several rounds of the game, including times when the player is successful, quelling the violence with minimum injuries, as well as instances when the player causes many casualties, harming Israel’s public image, or himself dies in the violence. Although this is just an old computer game, it presents the ethical challenges of the First Intifada in a creative, experiential manner.
