This post presents two songs about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict by the Israeli singer and rapper, Muki. Written in 2002, in the midst of the Second Intifada, “Talking About Peace” expresses the challenges of making peace in a place where the two sides of the conflict have such different visions for the future. Written following the Second Lebanon War in 2006, “War Song” describes the senseless and seemingly endless cycle of violence in Israel, with an optimistic eye toward peace.
