Check out Israel’s world-renowned tank collection and learn about the fascinating story of Latrun in this video tour (3:45) of the Yad LaShiryon Armoured Corps Museum and Memorial. Latrun was the site of important military battles from 1948’s War of Independence until 1967, when it was successfully captured by Israel in the Six Day War. During the many attempts to capture Latrun, Israeli forces incurred heavy losses which are commemorated today by KKL-JNF with a special trail in the Ayalon Park (Canada Park) that follows the story of the battles.
