The Historical and Current Significance of the Knesset

This film [10:03], produced by Lapam, Israel’s Government Advertising Agency, illustrates the importance of the Knesset, and the historical decisions and crucial moments which took place there.  After moving its temporary quarters around, the Knesset began meeting in the modest Froumine House in Jerusalem’s city center, and finally in 1966 moved to the distinguished Knesset building in Givat Ram, Jerusalem. The Knesset is the stage in which its members make vital government decisions, and where world leaders, citizens, politicians, and lobbyists all come to voice their opinions regarding Israeli issues.
