This soulful video presents Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach’s famous Sheva Brachot Niggun (Seven Benedictions Melody), sung by Dudi Knopfler and the Shira Choir. Although mostly instrumental, at 2:28, the group sings an excerpt from the final blessing with Chasidic pronunciation. The Hebrew, English and transliterated text can be seen below. Reb Shlomo, (1925-1994), also known as the “Singing Rabbi,” composed thousands of melodies and recorded over 25 albums.
