It’s not easy to move straight from Yom HaZikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day) into the festive, joyous Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Independence Day). And yet, as any Israeli family who has lost someone defending the country will tell you, the 2 days go hand in hand.
