In this interview (6:11) for Radio.com, Tel Aviv-born DJ Asaf Borger, or Borgore, as he’s known to most, spills his thoughts on Amy Winehouse‘s passing, his infamous feud with female rapper M.I.A., and his being awarded the title of “the most hated man in EDM” by Buzzfeed. While he has a massive following, Borgore is controversial to say the least. With lyrics that are crass, misogynistic, and replete with explicit – even violent – sexual content, he has drawn both cheers and jeers from the international music community. Although his heavy metal-rooted dubstep style isn’t for everyone, Borgore is unarguably a truly talented musician having attended a prestigious music high school in his younger years and having mastered multiple instruments including drums, saxophone, piano, turntables, and synthesizer.
