This is the trailer (1:56) for the Israeli series ‘Beauty and the Baker‘ that tells the story of an impossible romance between a penniless baker and an international superstar. As the series unfolds, main characters Amos Dahari (Aviv Alush) and Noa Hollander (Rotem Sela) come up against their vastly different familial and cultural backgrounds, adding layers of depth to the characters and making the show far more sophisticated than a commercial, run-of-the-mill love story. The series has been sold all over the world and has been adapted for local audiences including in Holland, Russia, and the United States. The American version, co-created by ABC, is set to air for the 2019-2020 television season.
