This video (09:22) is a shortened, cinematic adaptation of David Foster Wallace’s famous commencement speech given at the Kenyon College graduation in 2005. Originally aimed at university graduates, the speech empowers people to make an active, conscious choice in how we perceive the little things in life, particularly those that we generally experience as annoying, challenging or inconvenient. It reminds us of the importance of perspective, choice and empathy when finding meaning in the mundane, overlooked aspects of everyday life.
